The Opportunity

 

The Manufacturing Manager is accountable for the delivery of line results, initiative delivery and leadership and coaching of direct reports. This role will be responsible for the development of plans and initiatives to drive optimal performance of the manufacturing lines, to deliver optimal efficiency, cost, yield and safety results.

 

You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement culture to drive results, whilst meeting safety, quality and downtime of the lines.

 

The Accountabilities

 

  • Actively participate in and pro-actively contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of the site safety culture
  • Drive compliance with required Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures
  • Coach and develop team members to meet Safety, Quality and Operational results by monthly 1:1’s, regular feedback and development plans in place for all team members
  • Identification, development and implementation of future plans to address key issues faced by each area, including process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure the team drive the implementation of Safety initiatives, the Safety, Health and Environment Procedures and legislative requirements

 

The Ingredients for Success

 

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:

 

  • Sound manufacturing background, preferably FMCG or related industry
  • Demonstrated experience in the application and implementation of LEAN principles within a manufacturing environment.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Ability to think laterally and develop innovative solutions.
  • The ability to manage and coach people and cross-functional teams
