We're on the lookout for an experienced engineer with exceptional people skills to contribute to the continuous improvement of operations and oversee the maintenance and reliability of plant equipment on site. The role is responsible for increasing the reliability of the Production lines and controlling the production plan to maximise uptime. The role requires an understanding of the site’s plant and equipment to optimise performance and identify relevant upgrades and replacements, executed through the R&M budget and/or capital funding.

 

This role will have a strong focus in developing and growing Production Line capabilities, as well as contributing for significant increase of uptime to support volume growth. This role will also play a key role in embedding a safety culture and ensuring collaboration between the Operational, Engineering, Maintenance and Warehouse teams.

 

This role is responsible for being an integral part of the Engineering Reliability Team reporting to Reliability Engineering Coordinator.

 

The focuses of this role will include:

  • Liaise with all stakeholders (Arnotts Eng/Maint team) to define best asset management strategy.
  • Implement Reliability solutions, that are driven by process data, using SAP, Power Bi and IWS.
  • Work closely with Production teams and Managers to identify line constraints and Reliability improvements.
  • Lead investigations on downtime (A3) and coordinate actions (CAPA).

 

The ingredients to be successful:

  • Relevant trade or engineering qualification.
  • 5+ yrs experience in a Manufacturing, FMCG preferrable.
  • Strong communication skills at the appropriate level for all stakeholders – active listening, written, verbal and formal presentations as required.
  • Well-developed management skills, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically, prioritise and meet deadlines whilst working in high pressure situations.
  • People leadership, experience, and knowledge in managing teams in a complex working environment.
  • Professional mechanical and electrical capability.
  • Logical thinker with well-developed analytical skills and superior problem-solving abilities.
