What are YOU hungry for?

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Huntingwood employs 00 staff and produces 60,000 tonnes of product each year. We operate in full production mode 24 hours per day, 5 days per week with additional weekend production and maintenance shifts.


Reporting to the National Continuous Improvement Manager, this role acts as a site wide resource for continuous improvement, assigned to an area of the plant, based on the needs of the business. You will be responsible for Improvement Projects where your role will be to mentor project leaders, coach teams, lead and execute projects.  Key to this role will be the business case assessment, charter development with measurable results, delivery and execution of projects. 


You will work with all levels of the business and with suppliers as required to ensure that equipment setups, changeovers and parameters are optimised for performance and continually improved upon.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Deliver against Project and Process KPI’s for the Production Line
  • Help drive a culture of continuous improvement by coaching, training and guiding teams in Lean principles;
  • Provide Line Team Leadership for Leave support
  • Identify process gaps and work cross functionally to determine appropriate solutions;
  • Identify and Lead a range of Improvement Projects across the Business;
  • Identify skills gaps and coordinate training requirements;
  • Liaise with internal and external suppliers on equipment parameters and specifications;
  • Advanced problem solving using Lean Principles to facilitate teams using root cause analysis.


The ingredients to be successful:

  • Proven track record delivering Improvement Projects using Lean Manufacturing Principles;
  • Strong technical expertise in a highly automated, fast-moving manufacturing environment
  • Degree qualified, trade background, or technically competent and experienced operator looking for a development opportunity
  • Ability to influence colleagues, negotiate with cross functional teams and build strong relationships;
  • Strong people focussed leadership style;
  • Six Sigma qualifications desirable; not essential.
  • Understanding of Operational Software Systems, Wonderware, CITEC, SCADA systems
