We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Marleston manufacturing plant.  This role will report directly to the Maintenance Coordinator and will be responsible for repairs and maintenance to high volume food manufacturing and packaging equipment.

This position is for a permanent 12-hour shift roster.  This roster is comprised of 7 shifts per fortnight that includes every second weekend on day shift. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance on all machinery and conveyors.
  • Working in compliance with quality and safety systems
  • Recording maintenance carried out and corrective work in the CMMS,
  • Trouble shooting on varied high-speed manufacturing equipment

 

Ingredients you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to work 12-hour shift roster (7 shifts per fortnight) on day shift. 
  • Recognised mechanical trade qualifications,
  • Demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health and Safety practices ,
  • Have mechanical trade experience in a high volume production environment preferably within the food industry,
  • Fitting and turning trade skills essential Light fabrication/welding experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound problem solving and fault finding skills
  • Be team orientated and achievement driven
  • Possession of a Yellow Card and High Risk Licence would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be viewed favourably.
