Our business is growing, so we have a Customer Activation Manager opportunity available in Sydney or Melbourne.


We are looking for a Customer Activation Manager who is passionate about the FMCG industry, Sustainability and Creating Delicious Moments for our shoppers to join a high performing team and help drive high-impact strategies to influence the changing customer landscape and growth aspirations for The Arnott’s Group. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are driven by finding solutions and action orientated.


Reporting to the Coles Customer Director, the Customer Activation Manager plays an important & varied role in delivering value to the business through ensuring benchmark Go-To-Market strategies and execution.

You will:

  • Financial: Management of multiple budgets across Marketing and Sales teams. Ensure proper physical materials forecasting and production needs and timelines are adhered to. Regular communications with external printing and 3PL teams to streamline campaign delivery efficiencies and national POS SOH positions.

  • Team Leadership and People Development: Leading and developing an Activation Executive to achieve personal & team KPI’s including:

    • a.           Capability / competency development

    • b.           Day to day coaching and mentoring

    • c.           Objective management and career development management

    • d.           Provide leadership through cross-functional engagement with the wider busines

  • Business Outcomes

    • a.           Campaign: Plan, coordinate, and execute all BTL physical and digital Marketing requirements to support business priorities and activations both with internal alignments as well as external execution.

    • b.           Market Share and Growth: Always having an external lens on plans and challenges as well as regular communication with Account teams. Drive customer marketing support programs to contribute to overall business performance and customer investment levels.

  • Customer Relationship: Support our internal Customer teams whenever required by forming relationships with external stakeholders as well as being a part of pre- and post-reviews and JBPs. Work hand in hand with our external creative agency, printing partner, and logistics partner for the coordination of all BTL requirements and POS material fulfilments.

  • Strategy and Planning: being clear with business objectives, forecasting rational and assumptions, developing structured annual plans with prioritised objectives and purpose, ensuring the reality lines up with the ambition.


The ingredients to be successful:

  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Business, Commerce highly regarded.

  • Ability to think commercially and apply a reasonable and considered approach to delivery of key outcomes.

  • Ideally qualified with 2-5 years’ experience.

  • Analytical, results oriented, agile.

  • Influence and resilience.

  • Experience in the Customer Activation / Shopper Trade Marketing field, ideally in FMCG.

  • Strong knowledge of TAG’s key customer marketing and activation processes is essential.

  • Experience working with Point of Sale providers. Print experience a bonus.

  • You must be data savvy and have experience telling stories using data.

  • You are creative and understand the importance of an effective Go-To-market Strategy
