The Opportunity

Reporting to the Data Architect, this role is critical in delivering industry-standard data engineering solutions. The senior Data Engineer will have an excellent understanding of the business as well as superior analytical and leadership skills. You will oversee the design and implementation of data integration and data models needed for the seamless functioning of key business applications.

 

The Accountabilities

  • Data Architecture: Lead and implement high-level decisions about data infrastructure and architecture
  • Team Leadership: Manage data engineering teams, provide mentorship to junior team members
  • Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Complex ETL Processes: Develop and maintain complex Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for large-scale data
  • Strategic Data Projects: Lead critical data-related projects and strategic initiatives within the organization

 

The Ingredients for Success

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:

  • Strong experience in designing and developing data structures in Snowflake
  • Strong experience in developing ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory
  • Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake
  • Familiarity with data integration and migration processes
