Job Description:

The Arnott's Group (TAG) is an iconic Australian powerhouse brand, who are pioneers in the FMCG market, both locally and globally. Undergoing a period of extensive brand growth and strategic evolution, this is an exciting opportunity to help own and shape their iconic legacy into the future.

This is a key role in the Procurement Team as you will be accountable for leading our Packaging spend across both the Arnott’s & Campbell’s portfolios.

The role is the key connector between our suppliers and business partners in enabling the delivery of great business outcomes - improved value, breakthrough innovation, and enabling a more secure and sustainable supply chain.

 

The role reports to the Procurement Manager – Supplier Innovation & Collaboration.

 

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing spend to category targets and limit portfolio inflation
  • Accountable for buying decision across categories whilst executing the Procurement Strategy
  • Responsible for mitigating and managing supply risk within categories
  • Leads buying/supply decisions on all NPD requirements for categories
  • Direct management of shared resource, high accountability for leading cross-functional teams and managing allocated resources to deliver outcomes
  • Responsible for selecting suppliers that will continue to enhance our sustainable Supply Chain and support our strategy
  • Responsible for completing the detail of procurement activity for allocated categories (Category Management, RFI/RFP, Supplier Management, Cost Projections, & SAP maintenance) with the resources available

 

About you:

  • Bachelor Degree (preferred: Business, Engineering, Ops Management, Food Science/Technology).
  • Four years’ experience in a similar role and two years’ experience leading cross functional teams
  • Broad FMCG or related category industry experience
  • Procurement or commercial negotiating experience preferred
  • Ability to analyse data and draw insights
  • Demonstrated experience in driving change/projects
  • Strong time management skills
  • Good communicator and positive influencer of teams
  • Effective driver of change to achieve existing strategy
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • Strong continuous improvement demonstration and approach to work
  • Strong Microsoft skills - especially Excel and experience with systems such as SAP or equivalent
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to manage internal stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and measuring performance to meet targets
