In this newly created permanent role reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, the Senior Tax Consultant – Compliance (or Tax Compliance Manager, depending on experience) will support all aspects of tax compliance management, preparation and reporting for the Australian and overseas businesses. Supported by a tax consultant and tax analyst, this is a hands-on role to drive direct and indirect tax compliance and quarterly tax reporting obligations, including process improvements for the group.

We are inviting applications from Senior Tax Consultants to Tax Managers, and the experience of the candidate will determine the role offered. Given the growth culture of the group, support will be given to a candidate to develop into more advanced roles in the future, regardless of the starting position.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Corporate tax compliance including preparation of corporate tax returns for tax consolidated groups and associated schedules
  • Managing the year end and quarterly tax accounting and reporting process, including preparation of file notes and statutory disclosures
  • Managing monthly Business Activity Statements
  • Managing monthly payroll tax review and annual payroll tax reconciliations
  • Supporting the team in driving tax governance and process improvements across income tax, GST, FBT, R&D and payroll tax
  • Assisting with the group’s R&D tax offset claim
  • Managing FBT tax payments, calculations and compliance
  • International tax matters including Country-by-Country reporting, CFCs and withholding tax
  • Support the wider tax team in ad hoc projects as required.


The ingredients to be successful:

  • Qualifications in taxation or accounting are essential
  • Experience with corporate tax and indirect tax is essential
  • Demonstrated experience in a chartered accounting firm or corporate environment is highly desirable
  • Strong work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with SAP and OneSource is desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and take on broad responsibilities are highly desirable
  • Good communicator with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • The role can be tailored as a part time or full time role (i.e. equivalent of 3 to 5 business days per week)
