The Opportunity

We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our join our high-performing team on a permanent full-time basis (Rotating Shift), based in Shepparton. Successful applicants will have previous trade experience with a strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to food and workplace safety. You will be joining a hardworking team that are committed to the focus on the continual growth of the business, which services the manufacturing industry.

Supporting the manufacturing function in the installation of new equipment, repairs and maintenance will make you a part of our success.

The Accountabilities

• Attend to mechanical breakdowns, Maintain and repair plant equipment in a safe and diligent manner and participate in regular safety and quality walks
• Fabrication of parts for industrial plant which may including machining and welding
• Safely working with high risk equipment when required
• Cleaning and housekeeping requirements
• Conduct planned preventative and condition based maintenance to a high standard on food processing plant and equipment
• Working on high speed automated machinery in food packaging manufacturing
• Follow all protocols and processes for removing / replacing parts or tools from the store.
• Documentation and reporting of daily works completed
• Participate in Root cause analysis, asset condition reviews and Continuous improvement.
• Contribute to capital and projects works where required.

The Ingredients for Success

Just like you can’t make Campbell’s Chicken Stock without chicken, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;

• Strong mechanical background with hands on experience
• Trade qualification in a mechanical field
• Experience in pneumatics, welding and machining is advantageous
• Previous experience with SAP or CMMS is highly regarded
• FMCG experience
• Experienced in analysing equipment condition & identifying maintenance requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to work day, afternoon and night shifts to meet production requirements
• Sound knowledge of OHSE & Quality systems.
• EWP, Confined Space and Forklift Licences are highly desirable
