Maintenance Storeroom and Procurement Officer

A great opportunity is available for an experienced Maintenance Storeroom and Procurement Officer to join our team in a high impact role based at our Virginia manufacturing site.

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, this role is accountable for the efficient running of the maintenance store on site. The maintenance store is well organised, efficient department holding several million dollars’ worth of inventory. The successful candidate will be required to work on day shift.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate all inventory processes within the maintenance store.
  • Work closely with maintenance team Coordinators, maintenance planners and tradespeople to ensure maintenance plans are achievable, parts are available and staged.
  • Goods receipting and invoice processing.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and replenishment occurs in a timely manner.
  • Actively manage the MRP replenishment process.
  • Coordinate the regular cycle counting and stock taking procedures and effectively manage reconciliations.
  • Catalogue parts using our structured naming convention and software.
  • Actively work with and manage suppliers to ensure price, quality and service are maintained and enhanced.
  • Work closely with the site maintenance crew in assisting them with the sourcing and purchasing of items as requested.

The ingredients to be successful:

  • A strong desire to see your role as supporting and servicing any and all who request your assistance.
  • Desire to own a small department and be 100% accountable for the performance of your store.
  • Previous experience in leading a maintenance store in a food, pharmaceutical, aviation or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Experience with a CMMS, SAP preferred but not essential.
  • Self-starter and can work unsupervised.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift HRWL desirable
