Account Executive FSSI & AFH

To support this growth, we are seeking an Account Executive to support the Business Manager for the delivery of the key business strategies, AOP targets, and market share growth. This will be underpinned by building best-in-class relationships with Foodstuffs South Island as well as working with key accounts in our AFH businesses to unlock growth in our non-grocery business.


Supporting the Business Manager to unlock our category growth strategy across customers and execute with excellence is the core focus of the role. This includes maintaining both Arnotts and retailer promotional portals and analysis tools, completing customer presentations, and communicating business plans to the field team. A key element of this role will be driving our AFH business including scoping new business opportunities and unlocking new channels to expand Arnott's presence outside of the traditional grocery trade. A significant portion of the role is dedicated to driving internal stakeholders to maximise the joint opportunities between both ourselves and the customer.  This role must advocate for what is important to the customer to maximise the delivery of our business expectations.


Providing direction to our field team with clear, coherent execution plans is critical to success. Nailing all key internal systems and process is an important requirement that includes assisting the Business Manager in robust demand forecasting and trade spend management.




Deliver strong business outcomes

  • Share and sales growth in line with AOP targets and business expectations.

  • Build strong relationships with Foodstuffs South Island throughout the business contributing to a top 25% Advantage survey result.

  • Create strategic alignment and robust commercial plans in line with customer category reviews and/or joint business plans.

  • Speed to market per NPD targets.

  • Build and expand AFH presence in non-grocery channels improving our brand and sales presence per agreed targets.

  • Accurate promotional inputs to reduce time and monetary impact to the business


Execute with excellence in-market

  • Increased distribution, shelf, and display space per target.

  • Produce tools that unleash Arnott’s field teams and maximize the impact of agreed customer plans.

  • Ensure FSSI & AFH plans to complement the rest of the market and maximise our total business result.

  • Expand Arnotts into new channels outside of grocery


Run the business effectively

  • Own the promotional portal and Arnott's internal promotional systems.

  • Trade spend managed and optimised within agreed parameters.

  • Support the logistics team to assist in managing the FSSI DC in line with targets.

  • Support the Business Manager across all elements of the FSSI & AFH Business.


Ingredients for Success

  • Ideally FMCG experience at either field or head office level.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others or customers.

  • Ability to follow direction and communicate clearly across multiple stakeholders

  • A flexible and agile mindset that can drive great outcomes and improve efficiencies.

  • Good understanding of systems including excel

  • Resilient and able to solve challenging problems with win-win outcomes.

  • Business degree preferred.
