About the Role:
As a Logistics Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods across the supply chain, ensuring the seamless and efficient flow of products from suppliers to customers. Your role will involve managing logistics operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing process improvements to support the business's overall goals.

What your day looks like:
Logistics Coordination:
- Manage and optimize the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Collaborate with suppliers, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, ensuring a balance between demand and supply.
Operational Efficiency:
- Track and monitor transportation schedules, delivery timelines, and inventory movements to ensure alignment with production and sales schedules.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs without compromising quality.
- Analyse supply chain performance and troubleshoot any issues related to logistics delays, miscommunication, or inventory discrepancies.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Maintain and update logistics-related records, including inventory counts, shipment status, and delivery reports.
- Analyse transportation and logistics costs, identify trends, and present recommendations for cost reduction and process optimization.
- Generate regular performance reports to track KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, cost per unit) and provide insights to senior management.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Oversee customs documentation, export procedures, and other regulatory requirements to facilitate smooth cross-border shipments.
Supplier and Customer Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, carriers, and distributors to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods.
The Ingredients for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing, with SAP proficiency.
- Experience with advanced planning tools (JDA/BY) and strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
