About the Role:
As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end production across all shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and effective labour utilisation. As a key member of the site leadership team, the role supports overall site management, compliance, and drives operational excellence. The Operations Manager leads continuous improvement initiatives and supports new product trials. Additionally, this role encompasses full people management responsibilities, including performance management, training, and employee development, and may act as the Head of Manufacturing’s delegate when required.

What your days looks like:
- Ensure all activities comply with company health, safety, quality, legal, and ethical standards, promoting a strong safety culture and completing required training.
- Lead and support the team through performance management, training, competency development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
- Develop, implement, and oversee effective production planning, resource utilisation, waste minimisation, and support new product trials and problem-solving initiatives.
- Manage labour and budget controls, support capital expenditure justifications, and contribute to financial and operational efficiency improvements.
- Facilitate communication across teams through daily meetings, reporting, and acting as escalation point to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business objectives.
The Ingredients for Success:
- 5+ years’ experience in operations or manufacturing leadership; tertiary qualification preferred.
- Strong continuous improvement and root cause analysis skills, with ability to train others.
- Effective people leader with problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Confident communicator, able to engage site teams and senior leadership.
- Data-driven decision maker, proficient in computer and data analysis tools.
