The Role
The Operations Team Leader (OTL) Afternoon Shift will oversee the end-to-end production with responsibilities including the forming/packaging teams and equipment. They are responsible to ensure safety and quality is always a priority as well as labour is utilised effectively, and all site targets are met. Baked goods knowledge and a mechanical aptitude and an attention to detail will be key to success in this role.
The OTL must be across all aspects of people management including but not limited to; direction setting, appraisals, training, attendance/timesheets, and management of performance/grievance issues. This role will also be instrumental during trials, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, identify maintenance requirements on machinery, complete autonomous maintenance as is appropriate and potential capital projects for the Avondale site.As the need arises this role will need to be part of ingredient prep, line balancing as well as hands on supporting all aspects of production.
