About the Role:
The Senior Account Manager – Woolworths NZ is responsible for the delivery of the key business strategies, AOP targets, and market share growth in WWNZ. This role has responsibility for our Biscuits & Muesli Bars portfolios within Woolworths NZ. This will be underpinned by building best in class relationships with WWNZ category team.
Furthermore, this role will support the National Business Manager, notably on internal systems and number alignment. While this is a customer facing position that will own the Category team buying relationship, a significant portion of the role is dedicated to ensuring we have a robust forecast to deliver the plan.
Close contact with the Business Units (Marketing, Category, Finance, Demand Planning) is necessary to ensure our strategies are aligned with Woolworths NZ and are customer focussed.
Strong relationship management internally/externally will be key to deliver these goals, and you will need to effectively engage and influence cross functionally both internally and externally. This role must advocate for what is important to the customer to maximise the delivery of our business expectations.
What your days look like:
- Financial - P&L responsibility for business across Biscuits & Muesli Bars, tracking and communicating ongoing business results/changes, creating & implementing contingency plans where necessary for the business
- Share growth in line with AOP targets and business expectations
- Build strong relationships with Woolworths NZ at all levels throughout the business contributing to a top 25% Advantage survey result
- Analyse relevant data insights and leverage to drive mutually beneficial outcomes
- Range Reviews: the most important meetings of the year, coordinating all inputs, driving the key purpose and objectives, providing action orientated outcomes and continuing to drive to implementation
- Market Share: Always having an external lens on plans and challenges. Bringing the outside into the organisation with industry knowledge and ideas
- Promotional volumes and return: aligning with Woolworths NZ customer in the collaboration process and ensuring that our supply matches the demand
- Strategy and Planning: being clear with forecasting rational and assumptions, developing structured annual plans with prioritised objectives and purpose, ensuring the reality lines up with the ambition and with customer strategy
The Ingredients for Success:
- Experience working with retailers across New Zealand and/or Australia to drive mutually beneficial partnerships and outcomes
- Ability to understand commercial strategies and convert them into executable plans and commitments
- Flexible and agile mindset that can drive great outcomes in different circumstances
- Great communication and cross-functional management skills
- Good understanding of systems especially forecasting, trade spend management, and customer processes
- Business degree preferred
- Note: The role requires some travel and regular visits to WWNZ office in Auckland
