 About the Role: 

 

We are seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our Foodstuffs North Island team. In this role you will be responsible for driving key business strategies, AOP targets, and market share growth for the Biscuits portfolio within Foodstuffs North Island. This role focuses on building strong relationships with the FSNI category team, supporting the National Business Manager with internal systems and number alignment. While customer-facing, the position also ensures accurate forecasting to meet business objectives. The role requires fostering relationships across the Foodstuffs ecosystem, including store teams and supply, and collaborating with internal business units (Marketing, Category, Finance, Demand Planning) to align strategies. Effective relationship management and cross-functional collaboration are essential to advocate for customer needs and deliver business expectations.

What your day looks like:

 

  • Oversee P&L for Biscuits, track business results, and implement contingency plans as needed to ensure business success.
  • Drive share growth in line with AOP targets, while building strong relationships with Foodstuffs North Island.
  • Lead range reviews, coordinating input and driving action-oriented outcomes to ensure successful implementation.
  • Monitor market share and align promotional volumes with Foodstuffs North Island, ensuring supply matches demand.
  • Manage customer relationships as the primary contact for Foodstuffs North Island, ensuring effective promotion systems and adherence to grocery code principles.

 

The Ingredients for Success:

 

  • Experience working with retailers across New Zealand and/or Australia to drive mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Proven ability to deliver results and translate commercial strategies into actionable plans.
  • Flexible and agile, with the ability to drive positive outcomes in various circumstances.
  • Strong communication, cross-functional management skills, and a solid understanding of systems (forecasting, trade spend management, and customer processes).
  • Business degree preferred; resilient and skilled in solving challenges with win-win solutions; role requires some travel, including visits to the FSNI office in Auckland.
