About the Role:
The Logistics Operations Manager – NSW & Export is a senior leadership role responsible for performance, and continuous improvement of The Arnott’s Group’s NSW domestic and export logistics operations, along with primary accountability for the Huntingwood Automated Distribution Centre (ADC), the Group’s largest and most critical distribution asset, processing over 50% of total network volume.
The role translates logistics strategy into disciplined operational delivery, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑effective outcomes across our domestic and international logistics network. The role is a key operational and commercial interface with our third‑party logistics partners, and plays a pivotal role in driving performance standards, cost control, and data‑led decision making across the logistics network.
What your days look like:
Warehouse Operations
- Lead and oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations to achieve service, safety, quality, and cost objectives
- Ensure compliance with site safety, quality, and operational standards
- Manage the warehouse maintenance budget, including forecasting, cost control, and approval of maintenance expenditure within delegated authority
Logistics & Transport Management
- Manage domestic and export logistics flows, including interstate, third‑party, and international movements
- Lead relationships with logistics service providers and transport partners
- Review, approve, and optimise transport models, unload methods, and palletisation approaches
Commercial & Financial Control
- Control warehouse and logistics spend
- Develop and maintain cost models for warehousing, transport, copacking, and network scenarios
- Identify and deliver cost‑reduction initiatives aligned to service and risk requirements
Copacking & Network Projects
- Lead or support onsite and external copacking initiatives
- Define scope, volumes, pallet configurations, and operational requirements for copacking activities
- Partner with Packaging, Operations, Finance, and Logistics stakeholders to assess feasibility and cost impacts
Operational Expertise & Data Integrity
- Act as subject‑matter expert for:

- Pallet configuration and load optimisation
- Container utilisation and unload methodologies
- Case, pallet, and shipment dimensions and weights

Strategic Projects & Transformation
- Lead or contribute to supply chain transformation initiatives, including digital capability uplift, automation, and network optimisation.
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Strong leadership skills and stakeholder engagement skills to operate in a complex, ambiguous environment
- Extensive experience in warehouse and logistics management within FMCG or high‑volume environments: storage, fulfillment, palletisation and transport
- Proven experience managing warehouse vendors, contractors, and service partners
- Demonstrated ability to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement through third‑party relationships
- Strong commercial and cost‑management capability
- SAP, EDI, Excel, PowerBI, experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills: written & verbal
- Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and apply critical thinking for problem resolution
