The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the manufacturing lines in the biscuit network at our site in Virginia. This person will lead the operational production plan through the optimum use of labour in accordance with specified Quality standards and Safety requirements.

What your days look like:
- Building a strong Safety and Quality Culture
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to LOTO, WHS and GMP
- Monitoring and tracking daily production outputs, waste, and yield throughout the shift, making order adjustments where necessary to ensure production plan is achieved.
- Ensuring lines/machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted manner, acting as required to ensure targets are achieved.
- Completing weekly labour planning process – manage leave, utilise available labour, mitigate site idle labour, reduce overtime and outsourced labour costs.
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Strong understanding of behavioural safety and ethics; proficient in MyOSH safety reporting systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications; computer literate.
- Experience with GMP and quality reporting systems.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening, written, verbal, and formal presentation.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Systems, including Lean Tools (5S, Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving, Visual Management, Standard Work).
