About the Role: 

 

We are looking for a Process Improvement Specialist to drive volume optimisation and process improvements at Marleston, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and material transformation systems. The key tasks include fault finding, enhancing material interactions through production lines, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives.

What your day looks like:

 

  • Evaluate line performance, develop efficiency and reliability plans, and ensure safe work systems.
  • Create and implement maintenance strategies, skills, tools, and techniques to reduce downtime, optimise changeovers, and maximize site capacity.
  • Collaborate with team leaders, operators, and engineering teams to enhance performance through coaching and training.
  • Lead and influence operational improvements autonomously while aligning with corporate and local OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
  • Manage small-scale improvement projects, resolve machine reliability issues, and prioritize tasks in a complex manufacturing environment.

 

The Ingredients for Success

 

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Qualification with FMCG operational or maintenance experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and solid team facilitation abilities.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Creativity, innovation, perseverance, and knowledge of Continuous Improvement Tools
  • Experience in applying problem-solving tools individually and within a team environment.
