About the Role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Leader to join our team in Marleston, South Australia. As a Quality Leader you report to the Quality Coordinator and work in conjunction with the manufacturing team to ensure our products meet food safety and quality standards.
Your excellent communication skills will influence and drive continuous improvement within the quality team and the broader manufacturing site.
What your days look like:
- Working Afternoon Shift hours of 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday being flexible at times with the hours.
- Managing daily release of finished goods via SAP
- Driving investigations of quality and food safety related issues, working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams
- Supporting production through regular quality assurance activities to help drive a reduction in consumer complaints
- Organising and driving process improvements and participating in continuous improvement activities
- Supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the site’s Quality Management System (including HACCP, GMP, document control and regulatory compliance)
- Issuing appropriate corrective action requests (CAR’s) and Quality Notifications (QN’s) in SAP and supporting root cause analysis
- Managing our CAR and Finished Goods QN system
- Being accountable for decision making on product holds and releases
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Qualifications in Food Science, Science, Engineering or related disciplines
- Previous experience in a technical role within the food, pharmaceutical or similar industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- A proven ability to influence and build relationships with a diverse audience
- Highly self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Literacy with Excel and SAP
- Desirable, but not essential, to have statistical skills for project management
