Operations Team Member - Bakery

In NZ, Arnotts is undergoing a period of extensive brand growth and local investment with the establishment on a new manufacturing facility in Auckland and recent acquisition of the Mother Earth brand.

 About the Role:

The Operations Team Member is involved in all parts of the production operations process from forming through to packaging. They will be hands on during ingredients preparation, line preparation, unloading racks, packing product, running machinery and end of day clean up, ensuring safety and quality is always maintained.

As part of the operations team there will be additional duties from time to time, such as moisture checks, problem solving machinery malfunctions and completing the required paperwork. Mechanical aptitude and an attention to detail will be key to success in this role.

This role may be involved during trials and will be expected to be a constructive participant identifying opportunities for improvements as they arise, but equally will be invested in the success.

What your day looks like: 

• Follow H&S and Quality policies, promote safety culture, and complete required training and activities. 
• Ensure products meet specifications, minimize waste, and maintain hygiene while complying with legal standards. 
• Achieve daily objectives, support team collaboration, and escalate issues promptly to leadership. 
• Deliver production plans, manage resources effectively, and support trials while addressing potential issues. 

The Ingredients for Success: 

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;

• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG preferred 
• Previous bakery or food related technical training preferred 
• Good communication skills 
• Strong team player, able to work independently and with team 
• Ability to pick up new skills quickly and apply
