About the Role: 

 

We are seeking an Assistant Category Manager to join the Business Team. You will support the development of commercial category plans, provide actionable insights, and assist with retailer execution. In this role, you’ll manage the Biscuits portfolio, assist with NPD launches and tracking, and collaborate with retail customers to build growth plans.

What your day looks like:

 

  • Assist in the development of a Clear Category Vision: Work with the Category Lead to create a comprehensive category vision based on a deep understanding of shopper, customer, and business needs.
  • Drive commercial execution alignment: The role is pivotal in driving our commercial execution plans ie in store focus by period and managing the alignment across the sales and marketing teams to ensure we achieve business and customer priorities
  • Deliver improvements in category development scores as measured through the Advantage Group Survey each year
  • Category Reviews & Planning Days – Support Category Development Manager in all external customer comms; including reviews, planning days & joint customer planning
  • Key Business Partner with broader commercial team – including Sales, Marketing, Field Team, Finance & Revenue Growth Management

 

 

The Ingredients for Success:

 

  • Experience using industry scan & shopper data – specifically IRI Scan & Panel, Quantium & Synergy
  • Demonstrated customer facing experience (account management, category development, field management, marketing)
  • Strong analytical ability, verbal & written communication skills, time management
  • The role requires an ability to build strong relationships cross functionally across business team & broader commercial team
