About the Role:

 

We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager to join the team.  Working in the Business Team, you will be supporting the development of effective commercial category plans, providing actionable insights to support decision making and assist with retailer execution.

 

You will have responsibility within the Biscuits portfolio, managing the range, helping with the launch and early tracking of New Product Development (NPD), and building and sharing growth plans with our retail customers. You will need to manage your time effectively, manage various projects and build a wide range of cross functional relationships.

 

What your days look like:

 

  • Category Reviews & Planning Days – Support Category Development Manager in all external customer comms; including reviews, planning days and Joint Business Planning
  • NPD Programs – Support with retailer propositions, support NPD forecast development
  • Key Business Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Growth Management
  • Supporting Business team priorities, self-enabling team on shopper data assets

 

The Ingredients for Success:

 

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;

  • Experience using industry scan & shopper data (Coles Synergy, Quantium, Circana Scan & Shopper Panel)
  • Strong quantitative data analysis with moderate-level Excel skills
  • Customer facing experience ideal; including participation/presentation at customer reviews or planning days
  • Strong analytical ability in forecasting and modelling
  • Verbal & written communication skills
  • Time management
  • The role requires an ability to build strong relationships cross functionally with R&D, Sales and Marketing
