About the Role:
This is a 12-month opportunity to join Arnotts and provide ER support to the business.
As an Employment Relations Specialist you will have a case management focus and be responsible for providing advice, coaching and support regarding best practice people processes and management. You will be the key stakeholder to line managers and be required to provide timely advice and drafting support on ER matters in line with Fair Work Act requirements. Deliver high-quality support to line managers and the broader P&C team as required in the areas of investigations, performance management, formal and informal disciplinary procedures, grievance handling and injury management.
You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach to case management that helps mitigate risk and drive optimal outcomes for employees and the organisation.
What your days look like:
- Provide drafting support to P&C Managers for ER matters, including the drafting of investigation outcome reports
- Building capability across the People & Culture team in all employment relations matters/practices
- Improving and maintaining Employee Relations policies and processes
- Providing insight into Employee Relations trends based on internal data and recommending strategies to address those trends
- Ensuring proactive reporting and management of people related Code of Conduct breaches and supporting the Compliance team with investigating complaints as required
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex ER cases and delivering timely, accurate and operationally sound advice
- Proven ability to provide guidance on individual employee matters, including investigations and grievance resolution
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail in maintaining advice and investigation records
- Skilled in building and managing relationships across all organisational levels, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and coach effectively
- Extensive knowledge of Industrial and Employment Law framework including the Fair Work Act 2009, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Experience applying your ER skills and knowledge in an FMCG environment will be highly regarded.
