About the Role:
Manage the weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll for Australia and New Zealand employees. Deliver compliant and efficient payroll processing, ensuring accurate data that is up to date with employee changes, enterprise agreements, legislation and regulatory changes.
In this role you will be asked to balance the ‘day to day’ vs ‘project work’ and manage expectations of stakeholders while maintaining positive relationships with HR team, employees and business leaders, across multiple locations.
We are currently moving from Preceeda to SAP payroll system early next year in a phased approach, so if you have experience on one or both, that will help a lot.
What your day looks like:
- Administer weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls in compliance with company policies, government regulations and SOX compliance. (70%)

- Maintaining pay records, employee records, leave records and related information in Preceda
- Ensuring all time sheets, changes, records and other related material are processed
- Assisting with preparation, balancing and reconciliation of payroll tax, group tax, PAYG tax and superannuation and authorised payroll deductions
- Resolving enquiries from employees
- Work with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities for system and process optimisation to drive operational effectiveness (30%)
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Payroll functional knowledge and experience in Australia and New Zealand e.g. legislation, modern awards, tax, superannuation
- Payroll technical understanding of systems, standards and practices. In particular, Preceda or SAP experience is preferred.
- Interpersonal communication skills, and effective collaboration
- Numeric accuracy, excel expertise, attention to detail
- Good time management and prioritisation
- Reporting and analytics capability
