Procurement Category Lead - Marketing, Business Services & Utilities

Are you a driven procurement professional ready to lead high impact categories and shape the future of our supply chain? We’re looking for a Procurement Category Lead to join our dynamic team and help deliver strategic value across a major spend portfolio.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will support and execute end to end procurement activities across Indirect categories, with a focus on Marketing, Utilities and Business Services. Working closely with the Head of Procurement – Indirect & COE, you’ll take ownership of category management, supplier performance, contract negotiations, risk mitigation and delivering strong commercial outcomes.
You will lead cross functional teams, drive sourcing initiatives and ensure the achievement of critical business targets, including annual cost savings, quality and service improvements, and total cost of ownership optimisation.
What You’ll Be Accountable For:

Managing approx. $70M spend and supporting delivery of category targets.

Leading buying decisions and executing category strategies.

Delivering >2% annual hard savings and >5% TPV across spend.

Managing supply risk across assigned categories.

Leading supply decisions for NPD requirements.

Running end to end procurement processes (RFI/RFP, supplier management, forecasting, SAP updates).

Building total cost of ownership models to maximise value.

Driving cross functional collaboration and resource alignment.

Selecting suppliers to enhance sustainability and support business strategy.
What You Bring:

3 - 4+ years’ procurement or commercial experience — ideally in Indirect categories such as Marketing, Utilities and Business Services but not essential.

Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, Operations, Food Science or related discipline preferred).

Experience leading crossfunctional teams

FMCG or similar industry experience highly regarded.

Strong commercial negotiation experience.

Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Strong analytical capability and confidence working with financial data.

Proficiency in Excel and SAP (or similar systems).

Ability to drive change, influence stakeholders and deliver results in complex environments
