Working with the Business Team, the Project Manager is a key role responsible for driving the timely execution of NPD projects from Idea through to Evaluation. This includes keeping tasks on track to ensure on-time in-full delivery optimizing cost as well as holding all team members accountable to the plan.


The position is based in North Strathfield. (Remote working during current COVID lockdown).


Key elements of the role:

  • Manage and drive the implementation of NPD initiatives from Idea to Evaluation stage, ensuring OTIF delivery and adherence to the NPD process.
  • Independently develop detailed timelines, facilitate operational execution meetings, lead risk assessments and complete review/learnings sessions when appropriate.
  • Be forward-thinking and proactive in addressing project issues and challenges.
  • Lead the Business Team’s discussion of all things NPD and engage with all stakeholders that are affected by the initiative as well as managing the integration of vendor tasks.


The ingredients you need to be extraordinary in this role include:

  • 5+ years’ NPD project management experience.
  • FMCG/Food industry experience desirable but not essential
  • Degree qualification with a major in Business, Food Technology and/or Supply Chain discipline.
  • PMP certification or equivalent highly desirable
  • Strong computer literacy including proficiency in MS Project
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrable record of overseeing and delivering multiple (including complex) projects on time and on budget
  • Strong financial acumen, understanding business case drivers
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to lead and engage a range of cross functional partners
  • Strong ability to work independently in a fast paced and often ambiguous environment; comfortable with change and challenging the status quo
  • Driven and results oriented – full of energy for challenging and impactful tasks; focused on outcomes and impact while working in a collaborative environment.
  • Interstate travel may be required from time to time (outside of lockdown restrictions).
