About the Role:
Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting and Analysis Manager this role acts as the finance business partner to our International Export team, where you will provide monthly financial support, assist with the forecast process and proactively manage risks and opportunities within the most dynamic and high-growth segment of our business.
Success in this role will be measured by the adaptability of forecasts, the proactive identification of financial risks and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
You will also oversee General & Admin (G&A) expenses across various cost functions and support teams such as Data & Technology and People & Culture.
What your days look like:
- Business partnering with the International Export team. Providing monthly financial support that anchors on our IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process
- Oversee G&A expenses across multiple cost functions
- Month end activities include review of parked invoices and appropriate accounting treatment of accruals as required
- Monthly tracking of expense against budget and reporting results to cost functions.
- Bottom-up build of quarterly forecasts and annual budget. Set clear targets, promote accountability and support business partners in prioritising expenditures year-round
- Assist on team deliverables which can include preparing financial materials for a senior audience (CFO and the Board) and process improvement projects.
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tams without the chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Proven experience in Finance, ideally in FMCG, manufacturing, or sales environments
- Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business
- Cross functional business partnering (working with non-finance departments)
- Good presentation skills, ability to communicate financial results and make recommendations to business partners
- Experienced in tracking monthly expenses and managing accruals for P&L or Balance Sheet
- Experience building bottom-up forecast or annual budget with business partners
- SAP experience or similar software to manage monthly expenses
- Having experience with multiple data sources or mapping will be considered highly valuable
- Ownership, self-motivation. Able to work with minimal supervision during the monthly cycle.
