The Program Manager for Meals & Beverages works directly with the cross functional team to deliver the market share, top line and bottom line targets. Reporting directly to the Business Team Lead and functionally to the R&D Director Core Business, you will also be a valuable member of the R&D organisation. Product categories include stock, soup, and beverages for development and production at the Shepparton Site.


You will need experience in consumer-packaged goods product innovation, development, commercialization and launch into the market. To be successful in this role you need expertise in upfront concept and platform development and the ambiguity of that work. You will need to be comfortable with working on a cross functional team and contributing in a wide variety of initiatives. You will guide your team and execute projects in collaboration with the pilot plant, thermal scientists, and packaging technologists.





ANZ M&B Business Team:

· Lead product development team (one Technologist)

· R&D member of the M&B Business Leadership Team

· Develop and commercialize current year innovations

· Develop future year innovation plans

· Collaborate with Sr. R&D Manager


Supply Chain Support:

· Support supply chain and procurement initiatives including product transfers

· Partner with Shepparton Plant to solve critical issues and troubleshooting of manufacturing of new and existing products

· Minimize disruption to production due to continuation of ingredient supply problems


Technical Support and People Leadership:

· Stakeholder management (influencing and engaging)

· Prioritise work and projects for stakeholders

· Ensure accuracy and availability of raw material specifications, recipes, bills of materials, product manuals, finished product specifications, ingredient lists, nutritional         information, and label information

· Ensure new and reformulated products meet food safety requirements, food standards and other relevant regulations

· Maintain a safe working environment by participating in workplace safety

· Provide leadership, coaching, performance management and development opportunities to team members




Technical Requirements:

· Degree qualified (Food or Chemical Engineering or Food Science desirable).

· Minimum 6-9 years’ experience in R&D, Food Technology, QA, Supply chain or relevant business management roles

· Technical knowledge of thermal food processing, raw materials, and ingredients

· Labelling and Ingredient requirement knowledge

· Optiva, SAP and other system experience

· Understanding of OHS and plant safety requirements

· Creativity and a passion for food and science
