About the Role:

This 12 month opportunity is a key leadership role, responsible for developing and executing a site Asset Care Strategy through the implementation of best practice reliability engineering capability and systems.  The team will support the implementation of the strategy and ensure that the planning and scheduling of all activities are complete.  The leader will be the custodian of the maintenance KPI’s for whole of site.

This role is expected to lead by example and demonstrate open and positive engagement in all their interactions across the site. The Asset Care Leader is required to always place a high priority on safety and quality outcomes. This role will be a key contact for operational managers and personnel on site.

What your days look like:

• Ensure that safety and quality are top priorities for all team actions.  Leading through own actions and behaviours.
• Reviewing the current maintenance plans for improvements based on Plant performance
• Working with the Maintenance Planners establish schedules of works for the trades teams to execute
• Site governance of all statutory and hazardous area compliance
• Work with relevant MMs/TLs/Shift Managers to plan work for their lines – Including weekly planning meetings
• Leads the contractor management process
• Actively manage mechanical and electrical resources efficiently and prioritise planned jobs (PM’s and CM’s).
• Ensures the SAP Assets are always up to date, includes structure, equipment, preventative maintenance and bill of materials.
• Become a resource that is a ‘go to’ for Engineering SAP related issues.  Includes all this associated with the plant and up to and including stores and purchasing.
• Lead, coach and develop team members to ensure they are meeting the expectations of their roles and are aligned with the values and behaviours of the business.
• Actively participate and review PM Cards / IPS / BDE problem solving
• Ensure notifications for any works which require follow ups - repairs, adjustments or other actions are planned into the schedule and resources allocated. This includes that they are adequately planned

The Ingredients for Success:

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;

• Relevant work experience within a manufacturing, industrial or similar high-risk environment
• Experience in leading a multi discipline maintenance team
• Extensive experience in maintenance activities planning and execution
• Experience in Safe Work Practices
• Experience in SAP functions
• Competent to use MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and other relevant software
• Experience in Continuous Improvement
