About the Role:  


This key role focuses on improving safety, quality, and plant performance through targeted Operational Key Results. The position prioritises minimizing critical downtime and enhancing product quality. Additionally, it involves overseeing capital expenditure projects and modelling adherence to capital implementation processes for the team. Alignment with Arnott’s company values and leadership competencies is essential, with an emphasis on leading by example and fostering positive engagement across the site.

What your day looks like: 


•    Safety and Quality: Prioritise safety and quality in all operations, lead by example, and ensure safety is integrated into plant design; conduct investigations and complete job safety analysis for non-routine jobs.
•    Performance Improvements: Focus on equipment life cycle, analyse data to reduce failures, implement new procedures for performance improvement, and lead root cause analysis efforts.

•    Projects: Collaborate with manufacturing teams for problem-solving, ensure effective handovers between shifts, and plan work with relevant supervisors, utilising FMEA for new processes.
•    Administration: Schedule and allocate resources for repairs and follow-ups, maintain equipment details in the bill of materials, and report inaccuracies in maintenance tasks.
•    Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for redesign or re-engineering to enhance performance, seek design assistance, and plan improvements as needed.

 

 

The Ingredients for Success: 

 

•    Electrical Trade or engineering qualification with a strong understanding of engineering reliability principles.
•    Familiarity with plant processing to support performance improvement trends related to maintenance.
•    Proven ability to achieve results, demonstrated through key operational and maintenance metrics.
•    Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and demonstrated coaching skills.
•    Extensive maintenance experience, knowledge of safe work practices, and competence in SAP functions and Microsoft Office applications.
