A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of Australia’s most iconic food manufacturing businesses. We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Virginia team on a casual contract, supporting a fast‑paced, high-performing manufacturing environment.

Successful applicants will bring strong electrical experience, a positive work ethic, and a demonstrated commitment to food safety and workplace safety. You’ll be joining a supportive, hardworking team focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical challenges and enjoys providing practical solutions to complex problems in a dynamic production environment.

 

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Diagnostics and fault finding across production lines
  • Completing planned maintenance activities and repairs
  • Supporting factory start-ups and responding to breakdowns
  • Working safely and efficiently on a rotating casual roster, which may include:
    • Day Shift: 6:00am–2:00pm
    • Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm–10:00pm
    • Night Shift: 10:00pm–6:00am

Ingredients for Success

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Recognised electrical trade qualifications
  • Strong diagnostics and fault-finding experience
  • Exposure to high-speed packaging and/or processing machinery
  • Effective communication skills and a strong customer focus
  • Ability to self-manage and organise daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of LOTO, Risk Assessments, JSAs, PPE and other WHS requirements
  • Experience in pneumatics, welding, and lubrication (advantageous)
  • Experience with SAP (advantageous)
  • Willingness and ability to work across a flexible rotating shift roster
