About the Role:

 

As the HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture by providing professional support, advice, and assistance to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, standards and the internal Safety Management System.

What your days look like:

 

  • Promote a shared belief across the site that doing the job safely is just how we do business. Mentor, coach, and assist employees to create a level of understanding and empowerment that they can make positive impacts on safety.
  • Provide accurate technical advice around the interpretation of legislation impacting Work Health and Safety.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of key projects and identify areas of continuous improvement.
  • Participate and facilitate risk assessments to ensure the process is applied correctly to identify and control risks.
  • Model and promote behaviours that drive a positive safety culture.

 

The Ingredients for Success:

 

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety or willingness to obtain.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in participation and/or facilitation of risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience in participation and/or facilitation of Incident Investigation
  • Well-developed skills in the use of MS Office, Power BI, and MyOSH
  • Highly effective engagement and communication skills with the ability to support leaders across all levels.
  • Qualifications in Rehab and return to work (preferred)
