About the Role
The Arnott’s Group is seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join our production team at our Virginia facility. This role is critical to ensuring our production lines run safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while meeting daily output targets.
You will be responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery, performing routine checks, and supporting continuous improvement within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust production machinery to meet safety, quality, and performance standards
- Conduct start‑up, shutdown, and changeover procedures
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance to minimise downtime
- Monitor product quality and report defects or variances
- Complete production documentation accurately and on time
- Rotate across machines and tasks as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with HACCP and food safety requirements
- Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Work closely with team leaders, maintenance, and quality teams
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator in FMCG or food manufacturing preferred
- Experience working with automated or semi‑automated machinery
- Sound understanding of food safety standards, including HACCP
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts if required
