The Opportunity:
 

We are seeking a Machine Operator for the day shift at our Virginia Facility on a full time bases. This is a perfect role for someone who thrives on challenges and can provide practical solutions to complex problems and has the competency to run machinery and equipment.   
 

The Accountabilities:
 

• Setting up, operating and troubleshooting of equipment within Arnott’s OH&S, Quality and Performance Standards
• Ability to work autonomously, whilst working towards achieving team orientated goals
• Production activities associated within the rostered position with reasonable requests for overtime when required
• Cleaning equipment and surrounding work areas
• Other duties as directed within the skills and experience of the successful applicant

The Ingredients for Success:

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role; 

• Previous machine operating experience is required
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a Team
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a proven ability to troubleshoot on machines - experience with packaging machinery is required
• An understanding of team, safety, and quality operating principles
• Effective communication skills
• A continuous improvement mindset
• The ability to manual handle up to 20kg
• Day Shift hours 6am - 2pm
