About the Role:
This role is responsible for development and execution of capital and strategic projects and the ongoing enhancement of the capital process. As an advanced level project engineering role that draws upon the experience gained as a project engineer to identify and assess site and network opportunities to improve manufacturing and supply chain processes.
You will partner with operations stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities for operational improvement, feasibility assessment, and develop a compelling business case.
What your days look like:
- Coordinate equipment suppliers, factory access and contractors to develop budgets, timelines and specifications to support the capex justification in accordance with relevant site and industry safety, food safety and quality standards
- Develop capex documentation for capex approval and rigorously manage the execution of multiple concurrent projects to achieve identified deliverables on time and within budget including coordination of project teams
- Regular capital spend forecasting and Capital project close activities
- Apply your awareness of new technology and how it could be used in an FMCG/ food manufacturing environment
- Use a systematic approach to project management
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronic) or related technical discipline
- Significant experience managing cross functional project teams within a manufacturing company including external engineering contractors, preferably FMCG
- Technical expertise to a level to be considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a specific engineering discipline (Mechanical / Mechatronic)
- Demonstrated capital coordination and finance skills
- Technical documentation skills
- Proven ability to coordinate technical issues and design work with other functions, sites or suppliers.
- Must have the ability to manage conflicting deadlines, changing priorities and multiple tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Experience using AutoCAD is preferred.
