We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to work the afternoon shift at our site in Virginia. This is a hands on factory based role responsible for managing line performance on shift, whilst still maintaining an overall perspective on plant performance.


Key responsibilities:


  • Learn, master and use continuous improvement techniques to achieve KPIs
  • Be an active team player that shares resources to optimise business results
  • Establish team goals and objectives aligned to business, and hold people accountable for their delivery
  • Ensure Team Members are the best they can be by coaching and motivating them to affective continuous improvement in a safe environment to avoid injury
  • Ensure you hit schedule attainment (plan) in correct time with minimum costs
  • Be efficient and accurate in the management of the administrative aspects, necessary for you to perform to high levels within your role
  • Know the basic technical skills of your line to a level where you can judge people's performance, influence technical improvements, and ensure optimum daily performance.
  • Ensure your areas of responsibility always provide quality products, services and solutions to next point in your supply chain.  Take responsible proactive actions that are within your awareness even if they are not within your area of responsibility


Ingredients to be successful:


  • Prior experience within Manufacturing Operations
  • Experience in Safe Work Practices (use of safety reporting systems MyOSH)
  • Experience in GMP (use of quality reporting system Cornerstone)
  • Experience in Shift Reporting (use of MS Excel, MS Word, Miniimint)
  • Prior experience in employee management such as team building, training, rostering, leave planning, performance management and use of Kronos
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement – Lean/IWS Tools (5S, Problem Solving, Visual Management, Error Proofing, Standard Work)
  • Ability to work afternoon shifts Monday to Friday, 2.20pm-10.20pm
