As our Quality Officer -Raw Material you will a support function of QA to ensure the manufacture of all products is in strict compliance with Arnott’s food safety and quality system requirements, with the continuous improvement of systems and processes. You will be responsible for ensuring all documentation is completed, and for following up potential actions or requests for further information. 

 

The Accountabilities 

  • Interact directly with suppliers and internal customers to obtain documentation required for material release.
  • Independent review and approve GMP documentations (COAs,internal and external records etc) required for raw material release.
  • Performs SAP transactions required for material release as well as other Quality functions within SAP.
  • Supports material specification reviews and approval.
  • Management of raw materials, packaging and supplier non -conformances.
  • Provide support to the Huntingwood Food Safety and Quality program, ensuring compliance to SQF, TAG policies, and HACCP.
  • Supports in the internal QA Audit program including mock recalls and traces, this includes personally conducting audits and coordinating resource to conduct audits.  Ensure appropriate corrective actions and improvements are made.
  • Supports in the annual HACCP reviews, including suitability and effectiveness of all CPs, compliance monitoring, PRPs etc.
  • Contribute to the site FSR program, identifying and executing program improvements and ensure engagement is high across the team.
  • Supports in training and site communications to ensure awareness of and compliance to the Food Safety and Quality System.
  • Active participation of the GMP Audit program to ensure standards are suitable and achieved. 
  • Supports in the initiatives aimed in improving cleaning validations, including CIP and EMP programs.  This includes cleaning monitoring, and compliance reporting.
  • Supports in maintaining the calibration and replacement of food safety nets including magnets, sieves, metal detectors, x-ray etc.
  • Delivers assigned projects within stipulated timeframes ensuring alignment with quality objectives and regulatory requirements.

 


The Ingredients for Success 

Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role; 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in a quality assurance role within the food/pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing industry.
  • An understanding of Quality Management Systems, HACCP programs and Quality Auditing.
  • Detailed oriented with organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word and Powerpoint); Desirable to have database knowledge (Access) and SAP or any ERP systems.
