About the Role:
As Senior Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of manufacturing at Arnotts Huntingwood manufacturing site. Reporting to the Capital Manager, you'll lead the development and delivery of strategic capital projects, identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance, and drive operational excellence at the Huntingwood site. This is a highly visible role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys influencing stakeholders, leading complex projects, and is looking to develop towards a future leadership pathway within capital and engineering management.
What Your Day Looks Like:
- Assist in identifying and developing capital investment opportunities that improve safety, quality, reliability, capacity and efficiency across manufacturing operations.
- Provide support to build robust business cases, budgets and project plans to enable strategic capital investment decisions.
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent capital projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time and within budget.
- Collaborating with site leaders, operations teams, suppliers and contractors to deliver engineering solutions that create long-term value.
- Managing capital budgets, approvals and project close-out activities.
- Supporting the evolution of engineering and capital management practices while building leadership capability for future progression opportunities.
The Ingredients for Success:
- Degree qualified Engineer with significant experience delivering capital projects within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similarly complex manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept development and business case creation through to commissioning and handover.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing capital budgets, forecasting and investment justifications.
- Demonstrated capability influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leading project teams, contractors and suppliers.
- Strong technical engineering foundations, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset and passion for operational excellence.
- Aspiration and capability to grow into broader engineering leadership responsibilities as part of a future succession pathway.
