Hands-on machine operating role in a supportive team

Want to work with some of Australia’s most iconic food brands?

We’re looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at Arnott’s Marleston on our 12-hour day shift.

You’ll operate and troubleshoot packing equipment, complete changeovers and quality checks, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

This role will suit someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems on the floor and being part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done well.

What you’ll be doing

• Set up, operate and complete equipment changeovers

• Monitor machinery and troubleshoot day-to-day issues

• Keep packing lines running safely and efficiently

• Complete quality checks throughout your shift

• Follow safety, food quality, GMP and HACCP requirements

• Complete production and quality documentation accurately

• Keep your work area clean, organised and production-ready

• Identify opportunities to improve how we work

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to know everything on day one. What matters most is that you’re safety-focused, reliable and comfortable working around machinery.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous machine operating experience in manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment

• Good mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting equipment

• A strong focus on safety and product quality

• The ability to follow procedures and complete basic documentation

• Clear communication and a team-first approach

• Reliability and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Lean Manufacturing or 5S is an advantage, but not essential.

A few important details

This is an ongoing 8-hour day shift position based at our Marleston manufacturing site.

Successful candidates will need to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

Uniforms and required PPE are provided.

You’ll also need unrestricted working rights in Australia.
