Job Function:  Supply Chain - ANZ
Employment Type:
The Arnott’s Group portfolio of brands continues the 160-year legacy of the Arnott family, providing quality, great-tasting food to create delicious moments for consumers across the world.

At The Arnott’s Group, you’ll join a diverse, values-driven team passionate about delivering quality products like Tim Tam, Shapes, Mother Earth and more—plus enjoy them too!

We are proud of our legacy, but we aren't stopping here! Collaborators, innovators, and agile thinkers with a curious mind thrive here. Be part of a future which is full of delicious moments created locally, by you!
We’re looking for a hands‑on, people‑first leader to take ownership of a packaging line within our Avondale bakery.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, building capability within a team and delivering strong operational outcomes in a fast‑moving environment.
You’ll lead a team of 9 on shift, working closely with another Team Leader and cross‑functional partners across quality, operations and the wider site. It’s a role where your ability to engage people, manage performance and keep things on track day‑to‑day will make a real difference.

The opportunity
Our Avondale site is an established, high‑performing operation with growing volumes and strong product demand.
This role exists to bring consistent leadership on shift, ensuring safety, quality and production targets are delivered, while also building a high‑performing, engaged team.
You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and wider site leadership, with exposure to broader functions across the bakery. There is real opportunity to grow, develop and step into more senior leadership roles over time.

This is about owning your shift, leading your people and keeping production moving.

What you’ll lead
You’ll take ownership across both people leadership and daily operations, including:
  • Leading a team of 9, setting direction and building a high‑performance culture
  • Delivering against production, quality and labour productivity targets
  • Ensuring GMP, food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
  • Managing shift performance including attendance, capability and engagement
  • Running daily direction setting and maintaining clear communication on priorities
  • Coordinating labour and resources to maximise line efficiency
  • Managing temp labour usage and controlling costs on shift
  • Partnering with quality and operations teams to ensure product standards are met
  • Identifying and responding to issues quickly to keep production on track
  • Driving continuous improvement, waste reduction and efficiency initiatives

What success looks like
In your first 12 months, you’ll have built strong credibility with your team and stakeholders across the site.

Your shift will be running smoothly, with clear direction, strong engagement and consistent delivery against key targets.

You’ll be confidently managing performance, having the right conversations when needed, and developing capability within the team.

Most importantly, you’ll create a team that is safe, productive and accountable — with the flexibility to adapt when things don’t go to plan.

About you
You’re a hands‑on people leader who is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
You may be a Team Leader, Supervisor or Leading Hand ready to step into a more people‑focused leadership role.

You’ll bring:
  • Previous experience leading teams in manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment
  • Strong people leadership capability, including coaching and performance management
  • Confidence having direct conversations and managing day‑to‑day team dynamics
  • A focus on safety, quality and operational discipline
  • The ability to problem solve and adapt quickly when priorities shift
  • Experience working with production targets, labour planning or shift coordination
  • A proactive, accountable mindset with strong ownership
  • Understanding of GMP or food safety standards (preferred)

Why The Arnott’s Group?
The Arnott’s Group is one of the most recognised food businesses across Australia and New Zealand, with a portfolio of brands that have been part of households for generations.
But this role offers something more.

You’ll join a well‑established site with strong leadership, where you’ll have the opportunity to build your capability and progress into broader roles across the business.

It’s a chance to take ownership, grow your leadership skills and be part of a team delivering products people love every day.
Big enough to matter. Small enough to shape.
A final word
This role will suit someone who enjoys leading people, not just managing processes.

Someone who can keep a team focused, step in when needed and adapt quickly when things change on the floor.

If you’re looking for a role where you can build your leadership capability and make a real day‑to‑day impact, we’d love to hear from you.
