Operations Team Member-Bakery

We are seeking an Operations Team Member - Baker to join our Afternoon Shift team at our Avondale site. This role combines bakery expertise with broader production and packaging responsibilities, supporting the manufacture of high-quality products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, food safety, quality, and operational performance.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be involved in ingredient preparation, mixing, forming, baking, machine operation, changeovers, packing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and operate bakery equipment across mixing, forming, and baking processes
• Set up, adjust, operate, and complete changeovers on bakery machinery
• Monitor product quality and process performance to ensure products meet specification
• Support production and packaging operations, including machine operation and packing activities
• Follow GMP, food safety, quality, and hygiene standards at all times
• Complete production records and quality checks accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and production trials
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets

About You

• Recognised Bakery Qualification or equivalent trade certification
• Experience operating bakery equipment within a food manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of bakery processes including ingredient preparation, mixing, forming, and baking
• Understanding of food safety, quality, hygiene, and GMP requirements
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to quality outcomes
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
