About the Job
At The Arnott’s Group, we're building the future of Better For You – in Macro Snacking & Breakfast. As Category Manager - BFY, you'll own a diverse portfolio spanning brands including Mother Earth, Sunsol, Snack Right, Heritage Mill and others, helping shape how Australians snack, break fast and fuel their day.

This is not a traditional category role. We're looking for someone who can bring together commercial thinking, category expertise and strategic influence to drive growth in a fast-moving portfolio. You'll lead major category reviews with Coles and Woolworths, input into an large, agile innovation pipeline, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive outcomes across all aspects of BFY.

Working closely with Marketing, Sales and cross-functional teams, you'll play a critical role in identifying opportunities, building compelling category stories and ensuring our brands punch above their weight in highly competitive categories.

You're equally comfortable analyzing a plethora of qual & quant data, developing innovation forecasts and presenting succinct strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and customers.

You'll bring strong FMCG category experience along with the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.

What Your Days Look Like
  • Leading category strategies across a diverse nutritional snacks and breakfast portfolio, applying them to enable independent growth and simultaneous cohesion between multiple TAG BFY brands
  • Partnering closely with Coles and Woolworths to deliver category growth initiatives
  • Owning end-to-end 6P deep dives & category range review processes across multiple categories and brands
  • Managing inputs to numerous innovation and stage-gate projects simultaneously
  • Developing customer-facing category stories, recommendations and presentations
  • Converting category insights, shopper data and market trends into actionable 6P business strategies across multiple brands
  • Ideating opportunities from insights, which turn into financial projections, run-rate forecasts and commercial recommendations for NPI, the Brand Planning & Stage Gate process
  • Collaborating with numerous stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, RGM and broader cross-functional teams on a day to day basis
  • Influence both internal and external stakeholders with well crafted, insight led story telling to land strategic recommendations
  • Supporting innovation opportunities from concept through to shelf execution

The Ingredients for Success
  • Demonstrated Category Management experience within FMCG
  • Strong experience working with Coles and Woolworths categories
  • Proven capability leading end-to-end range reviews
  • Experience managing multiple projects, launches or innovation initiatives concurrently
  • Strong commercial acumen, including exposure to P&Ls, forecasting and category financials
  • Experience working within stage-gate innovation processes
  • Ability to translate data and insights into clear strategic recommendations
  • Proficient in IRI/Nielsen/Unify/Quantium
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong presentation skills with confidence engaging customers and senior stakeholders succinctly
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in snacking, breakfast, health food, grocery or broader FMCG categories preferred
