Territory Manager Gippsland Region

Department:  Field Sales - ANZ
Location:

Rowville, VIC, Australia, 3178

Job Function:  Sales - ANZ
Employment Type:
The Arnott's Group | Gippsland, VIC

We're looking for a commercially minded, relationship-focused Territory Manager to take ownership of a well-established Gippsland territory and help drive growth across some of Australia's most loved brands.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building genuine customer relationships and influencing outcomes that drive sales performance. You'll work closely with retailers across your territory, lead a small merchandiser team and play a key role in bringing new products, promotions and category opportunities to life in store.

If you're someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys balancing commercial conversations with hands-on execution and takes pride in seeing the direct impact of your work, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

The opportunity

The Gippsland territory is a critical part of our Victorian field sales network and offers the chance to work across a diverse customer base while representing a portfolio of market-leading brands.

Reporting to the Zone Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering sales growth through strong execution of commercial plans, category selling and customer engagement. You'll also lead a team of merchandisers, ensuring our brands consistently show up at their best in store.

This role is about more than maintaining relationships. It's about identifying opportunities, influencing decision-makers and finding ways to create win-win outcomes for both our customers and our business.

What you'll lead
You'll take ownership for:
  • Driving sales growth and execution across your territory.
  • Building strong relationships with store managers and key decision-makers.
  • Securing ranging, displays and promotional support across our portfolio.
  • Selling new product launches using category and shopper insights.
  • Influencing share of shelf, front of store and off-location opportunities.
  • Leading, coaching and supporting a team of merchandisers.
  • Managing merchandising resources and budgets effectively.
  • Delivering exceptional in-store execution and compliance standards.

What success looks like

In your first 12 months, you'll have built trusted relationships across your customer base and become a valued partner to retailers throughout the region.

You'll be known for delivering strong execution, securing additional opportunities in store and finding ways to drive growth across your territory. Your merchandiser team will feel supported, motivated and clear on expectations.

Most importantly, you'll create visible impact — growing sales, increasing brand presence and helping our iconic brands win in store every day.

About you

You're likely coming from an FMCG field sales, Territory Manager, Account Executive or customer-facing commercial role and enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same.

You'll bring:
  • FMCG sales experience, ideally within grocery or route sales.
  • A proven track record of delivering results and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing capability.
  • The ability to coach, motivate and lead others.
  • Commercial acumen and a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong organisation, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Marketing (desirable).

You're someone who enjoys being accountable for outcomes, spotting opportunities others might miss and building long-term partnerships that deliver results.

Why The Arnott's Group?

The Arnott's Group is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest and most loved consumer goods businesses, home to iconic brands that have been part of households for generations.
But what makes this opportunity special is the ownership you'll have.

You'll be trusted to run your territory like your own business while having the backing of a recognised FMCG leader. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, the support to grow your career and the opportunity to work with brands that customers know and love.

Big enough to matter. Local enough to make a real impact.

A final word

This role will suit someone who enjoys being front and centre with customers.

Someone who loves building relationships, spotting opportunities and delivering results through influence rather than authority.

If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership of a territory, lead from the front and make a genuine impact every day, we'd love to hear from you.
